Leaving your dog behind shouldn’t mean leaving them in a kennel. At Becky’s Dog Retreat & Spa, we provide a private, in-home boarding experience designed for families who want something more personal for their dogs.
We welcome only one dog family at a time, allowing us to give our guests the individual attention, supervision and affection they deserve.
Your dog doesn’t simply stay with us. They become part of our family while you’re away.
Life at the Retreat
Our boarding guests are free to enjoy our home much the way they enjoy yours. There are no rows of kennels and no crowded playgroups. Depending on your dog’s normal routine and preferences, their stay may include:
- Relaxing with us on the couch
- Walks and daily exercise
- Indoor and outdoor playtime
- Plenty of affection and belly rubs
- Time relaxing in our shaded backyard
- Supervised access around our saltwater swimming pool
- Their favorite toys and treats from home
- Lots of quiet time and personal attention
One Dog Family at a Time

This is one of the most important things that makes Becky’s different. We intentionally keep our boarding extremely limited.
By welcoming one dog family at a time, we’re able to learn your dog’s personality, routines and preferences and give them a level of personal attention that is difficult to provide in a traditional boarding environment.
We adjust the experience to the individual dog rather than expecting every dog to adjust to the same routine.
Where Will My Dog Sleep?
Wherever possible, we try to maintain the routine your dog knows at home. If your dog normally sleeps in their own bed, bring it. If they’re accustomed to sleeping near people, we’ll discuss that with you. If your dog is crate-trained and prefers the security of a crate, we can accommodate that as well. Our goal is not to suddenly change your dog’s lifestyle simply because you’re traveling — we want their stay to feel familiar, comfortable and safe.
Never Left Unattended
Your dog’s safety is our priority. Dogs staying with us are never left unattended inside or outside the home. Outdoor and pool time is always supervised, and we take the time to understand each dog’s personality, behavior, physical abilities and individual needs. Becky is also Canine CPR & First Aid Certified, and Becky’s Dog Retreat & Spa carries liability insurance.
You’ll Still Be Part of Their Day
We know how much you miss your dog when you’re away. That’s why communication is an important part of the Becky’s experience. You’ll receive a morning update about how your dog is doing, along with photos and videos throughout their stay. We want you to be able to enjoy your trip knowing that your dog is safe, comfortable and having a wonderful time.
What Should I Bring?
Please bring:
- Your dog’s food, separated or clearly portioned by meal
- Medications and instructions, if applicable
- Treats
- Favorite toys
- Their bed or blanket, if desired
- Feeding and care instructions
- Anything else that helps your dog feel at home
You do not need to bring a crate unless you prefer to. We have one available if your dog is accustomed to using one.
Before Their First Stay
Every new boarding guest begins with a Meet & Greet.
You’ll visit our home with your dog so you can see where they’ll be staying and meet us personally. We’ll talk about your dog’s:
- Daily routine
- Feeding schedule
- Sleeping habits
- Personality and temperament
- Exercise preferences
- Medications
- Separation anxiety or other special needs
- Likes, dislikes and little quirks
- Anything else you think we should know
Most importantly, your dog gets a chance to meet us and explore the environment before you ever leave them here.
Grooming & Spa

At Becky’s Dog Retreat & Spa, grooming is never about getting as many dogs through the door as possible. Becky works one-on-one with each dog, in a quiet and comfortable environment without a room full of barking dogs waiting for their turn.
Every appointment is scheduled individually, giving Becky the time to work patiently and at your dog’s pace.

Special Needs & Senior Dog Care
Senior dogs and dogs with special needs often require a little more patience, attention, and understanding. Becky is experienced in caring for dogs with individualized routines and medication needs, including administering prescribed insulin injections when required.
We’ll discuss your dog’s routine, medications, mobility, comfort, and individual needs during the Meet & Greet so we can determine whether we’re the right fit for their care.
